These sterling silver hoop earrings are inspired by the linear contours of wind-swept slot canyons. The layered striations give the surface of the hoops a beautiful texture.
The patterns are formed using Mitsuro Hikime, an ancient Japanese wax art form practiced for more than 1,300 years. During this process, specially prepared wax is warmed and stretched by hand, allowing natural striations to develop before the form is cast in metal.
