The Kelp Ring is a sculptural sterling silver ring created using Mitsuro Hikime. Warmed wax is stretched by hand to form natural striations, then cast in silver and hand-finished.
Two flowing forms curve toward one another, creating a sense of movement reminiscent of kelp drifting in ocean currents. The surface lines capture the physical gestures of the wax as it was pulled, preserving motion within the metal.
Each piece is individually formed, making every ring one of a kind.
